Geotechnical Professional Wanted
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Galway, Ireland.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to utilize your engineering skills and expertise in the planning and design of Marine Terminal and Renewable Energy infrastructure around the world.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide detailed analysis, design, and reporting for projects from Concept through to FEED and detailed design stages.
* Contribute geotechnical input to the design and analytical functions of structures including gravity structures, piled structures, pipelines, cables, and shore crossings.
* Support the specification and procurement of site investigation works, review findings, and develop design parameters.
* Evaluate installation procedures in detail.
* Collaborate with construction and engineering teams on cost estimates, inspect existing infrastructure, mentor junior staff, and contribute to project management support when required.
Requirements:
* A degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
* Prior experience in civil, geotechnical, or related fields, particularly in marine infrastructure design.
* Familiarity with Eurocodes and relevant industry standards.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in primary geotechnical analysis packages.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
* Able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
* Fluency in English.
