EHS Senior Specialist
Exciting opportunity for an experienced EHS Senior Specialist to join our client, a global biopharmaceutical company in their site based in Swords.
The successful candidate will offer technical guidance and support for the site and active projects, ensuring compliance to all legal requirements related to safety as well as the company's corporate standards, procedures, policies and guidelines and recognized industry best practices.
This is an initial 4-month contract opportunity, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities
SME support in General Safety and High Risk Work Programs.
SME support in Environmental Programs (Air, water, waste).
Support local safety teams, audits and inspections, incident investigations, and other safety programs as needed.
Be the EHS representative for risk assessments, change management impact assessments, training delivery and contractor management.
Provide updates weekly to management and department teams on KPIs in line with EHS targets.
Act as a leader in demonstrating and implementing a strong EHS culture across the site.
Requirements
7+ years of EHS, Engineering, or Operational experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, petrochemical, or process related industry.
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or related Safety or Environmental field.
Specialist Knowledge of Irish Environmental and H&S Legislation and regulations.
Experience in high-Risk Work program (Electrical safety, Hot work, LOTO, confined space etc) and Contractor Management is desired.
Maintains focus on priorities while analysing the details to facilitate problem resolution.
Experience on supporting multiple activities/projects.
Proven experience in managing and implementing change.
Excellent ability to influence others.
Track record of achievements in the EHS sector.
