Job Description:
As a Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen while supporting the culinary team in various tasks. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas according to sanitation standards.
* Assisting with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, as directed by the chef.
* Handling and storing food items in compliance with safety procedures.
* Emptying and cleaning trash bins and disposing of waste properly.
* Assisting in receiving and storing deliveries.
* Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods and special events.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Note: This position will initially start as a temporary role through our recruitment agency, with the potential to transition to a permanent position with the hiring company based on performance and suitability.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends, as required.
* Advanced level of English language proficiency.
* Legally be able to work full time in Ireland.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
