We are working with a leading automotive distributor in Ireland to appoint a Legal & Compliance Manager reporting to the Managing Director.This role will support the organisation in managing legal, regulatory and data protection matters while helping ensure strong governance and compliance practices across the business.The roleLead the legal and compliance function for the Irish business, supporting the Managing Director and senior leadership teamOversee the organisation's legal, regulatory and compliance framework, ensuring alignment with European policies and standardsProvide guidance to the business on data protection, governance and regulatory obligations, with a strong focus on GDPR and data managementAct as a key point of contact for legal and compliance matters across the organisationDraft, review and manage commercial agreements and legal documentationSupport the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures and internal controlsWork closely with legal and compliance teams across the UK and Europe, ensuring alignment with regional initiativesLiaise with external legal advisors where specialist support is requiredSupport and contribute to EU-level compliance and governance projectsPromote a strong culture of compliance and ethical business practice throughout the organisationQualificationsQualification as a solicitor in Ireland or another common law jurisdiction, or relevant experience in a legal, compliance or regulatory roleExperience working in legal, compliance or data protectionUnderstanding of GDPR and Irish regulatory frameworksStrong analytical and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively across departmentsAutomotive sector experience advantageous but not essentialWhat's on offerHighly competitive senior-level package including company car and corporate benefitsHybrid working arrangementsPrivate medical allowance and health initiativesPension with enhanced employer contributionGenerous annual leaveProfessional development opportunitiesOpportunity to work closely with European legal and compliance teamsA key leadership role within a growing international automotive organisation
