Overview
This is a permanent role with pension and access to a health insurance plan. Location: processing facility in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin. The role supports a market expansion services company in the chemical industry, working closely with leading chemical manufacturers to supply high-specification products to businesses in Ireland. The chosen candidate will report to the Quality Manager and liaise with colleagues (on- and off-site), customers, and suppliers. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and compliance and contributes to a welcoming and enthusiastic culture.

Quality and Safety Analyst
Responsibilities
* Quality Control
o Chemical analysis of raw materials and products.
o Determine conformance to specification and investigate non-conformances.
o Development of test methods.
o Monitoring of production processes.
* Product Development
o Analysis of competitors’ products to understand how composition relates to performance.
* Quality Management
o Writing and reviewing procedures.
o Responding to non-conformances.
o Member of the internal audit team.
* Customer Support
o Meeting customers to better understand their needs.
* Safety Management
o Using risk assessments to identify hazards, assess controls, and propose improvements.
o Member of the Safety Action Group.
o Writing and reviewing Risk Assessments.
o Managing responses to Safety and other non-conformances.
* Technical
o Optimization of production processes.
o Introduction of new products and processes.
* Training
o Identification of Quality and Safety training needs.
o Providing training and monitoring application.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Personal
o Strong work ethic and time-management skills to meet goals.
o Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
o Effective both in a team and independently.
o Analytical in problem-solving and creative in devising solutions.
* Technical
o Proficient in Microsoft Office for analysing, summarising, and presenting information.
o Minimum of 2 years’ experience in chemical analysis.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Product Development.
* Familiarity with relevant standards, accreditation schemes, and laboratory management practices.
* Quality auditing (ISO 9001).
* Working knowledge of safety regulations and transport of dangerous goods.
