Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Limerick. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining and managing software on production systems, ensuring the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps engineering, with experience in automation tools such as configuration management, Docker, EKS - Kubernetes, Helm, Argo, Gitlab, Nginx Ingress Controller, AWS (RDS, S3 VPC, Glue), Jenkins.
The role requires strong scripting skills, including Python, bash or PowerShell, as well as experience with system monitoring tools. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of operating systems, Windows and Linux system administration, and database administration, Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deploying and automating software on production systems
2. Maintaining and managing software on production systems
3. Ensuring the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems
4. Implementing the DevOps strategy for achieving continuous delivery
5. Working within an agile delivery process to deliver high quality estimates and outcomes for complex projects
Requirements
* Minimum 5 year's experience in DevOps engineering or similar role
* 3-4 years' experience with using a broad range of technologies
* Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools
* Strong scripting skills, including Python, bash or PowerShell
* Knowledge of operating systems, Windows and Linux system administration
* Experience with system monitoring tools
* Database administration experience, Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL
