So, what is a Configuration Manager? And what will you do? The primary responsibility of the Engineering Configuration Manager will be to provide day-to-day support across multiple projects, where you will be required to follow Configuration Management processes, procedures and standards using Microsoft Office tools and Configuration Management tools. You will: Create / Update project Configuration Management Plans Administer CM processes on projects Follow CM and change management procedures and checking that engineering staff have complied with these procedures Produce Configuration Status Reports Interface with Document Services and Project Issuing Office Participate in the phase reviews (PDR, CDR, etc) and in configuration audits (FCA and PCA) The successful candidate: Experience gained in a similar or equivalent role. Candidates with experience in engineering change, configuration, control or product Lifecycle management would be of particular interest. Experience using CM tools (e.g. Windchill PLM, SAP Teamcenter, etc) Experience in the use of Configuration Management processes and principles Experience of working in a small team and managing stakeholders An appreciation of the full development project life cycle Strong PC based tools skills including Microsoft Office Ability to produce work output on time and to schedule, along with strong attention to detail with a logical methodology of working, and the ability to produce structured documentation and reports.
