Job Description: The opportunity Life Sciences is a rapidly growing sector in EY Ireland.
We are building significant Life Sciences Commercial and Market Access capabilities, aiming to become the leading Life Sciences Strategy practice in Ireland.
These roles focus on the entire Life Sciences Commercial Strategy and Market Access value chain, with offerings for Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Med Tech organizations.
The role operates within the wider Health Sciences & Wellness team, with specific accountabilities as outlined below.
Joining as a Senior Manager offers the chance to accelerate your career in Life Sciences consulting, lead innovation in the sector, and influence health system changes addressing affordability and healthcare delivery challenges.
The role requires a hybrid skill set combining commercial and access strategy, analytical rigor, creative intuition, and a growth mindset.
Your key responsibilities Lead and inspire multiple client projects and teams, ensuring understanding of challenges across the commercial value chain and delivering high-quality insights through critical thinking.
Supervise daily team work, collaborating with Practice Directors/Partners to ensure quality output.
Work with clients on franchise/portfolio/disease strategies, asset positioning, business development, product launches, market access, pricing, reimbursement strategies, and healthcare solutions.
Recommend and support implementation of technology platforms, digital solutions, or business transformations for biopharmaceutical clients.
Build trusted client relationships, identify opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support business growth.
Lead new business proposals, including scoping, approach definition, and resource planning.
Assist in recruitment and resource allocation.
Develop and deliver training on EY methodologies and contribute to thought leadership through writing and speaking engagements.
To qualify for the role, you must have At least 5 years of experience in management consulting or within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or Med Tech organization.
Experience in developing and implementing strategies in areas such as Commercial Strategy, Market Access, Digital Therapeutics, Real World Evidence, Contracting, or Business Development.
Comfort in a client-facing consulting role, including leading workshops and delivering strategic recommendations.
Experience working with global, multidisciplinary teams across regions.
Thought leadership experience, demonstrated through publications or speaking engagements.
Ideally, you will also have An MBA or advanced degree in Health Economics, Policy, or Pharmaceutical Sciences (preferred but not mandatory).
High-standard writing skills, fluency in English, and additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel and work internationally.
