About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join our dedicated team where we provide specialist asset lifecycle management engineering services. The group provides specialist engineering services in all stages of the lifecycle management process from commissioning new equipment to condition assessment of existing assets to end-of-life decommissioning decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure maintenance programmes and asset health strategies are delivered to the highest standards of safety and quality.
* Lead the testing and diagnostic assessment of HV primary plant equipment (Circuit Breakers, Instrument Transformers, Power Transformers, DC battery systems).
* Lead fault investigations on HV primary plant equipment.
* Provide guidance and leadership in project and maintenance programme delivery.
* Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders, clients, OEMs, and service providers.
* Mentor new entrants and colleagues.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
* Strong project management and program management skills and knowledge.
* Strong technical knowledge of transmission and distribution substations plant.
* A proven track record in delivering substation maintenance projects.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* In-depth knowledge of ESB processes and practices.
* Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, Design Standards including Health, Safety and Environmental Standards and Legislation.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to mentor new entrants and colleagues.
* A full driving license and access to a car.
* Membership of Professional Industry Body (Engineers Ireland, IET, Cigre etc.).
