The Alex is a beautiful boutique 4-star hotel located in a prime location in Dublin 2, close to Merrion Square and the city centre – only a 10-minute walk.
Over the next year it will undergo €60m transformational investment to become the leading 4* hotel in Ireland.
The hotel boasts 250 bedrooms, 12,000 sq ft of conference space, a thermal spa and rooftop bar.
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the operation with the key goal of maximising our TripAdvisor ranking by ensuring guests and customers receive the very best service every time they visit.
It is about delivering memorable experiences so that guests return and share their great trip.
You will be a hands-on leader who can develop and empower the entire team to deliver excellence throughout this transformation.
You should be an experienced hospitality manager with a proven track record of making things work efficiently and effectively, and be customer-focused to the core.
You will have strong coaching skills and know how to get the best out of your management team, supporting them to develop into hospitality experts.
Reporting to the Group General Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with experts in the Support Office to develop every aspect of your hotel – from marketing to working with the sales team and expanding our customer base at home and abroad.
Working with the HR team, you will identify talent that we can grow for future promotions, manage those who are not delivering to the standards we require, and work on engagement to create a happy working environment where fantastic customer service becomes the norm.
You will have a high level of attention to detail, expecting and delivering the best at all times from yourself and your team – it is about creating a culture of accountability where the team cares about every aspect of their role, takes pride in what they do and the management team is determined to always deliver the best for customers.
