Company Overview Azon has been retained by a Dublin headquartered, Irish owned, diversified Private group that has an unrivalled track record of achievement in Ireland over the past 20 years following a series of hugely successful investments in Life Sciences internationally.
Current activities include investments in Private Life Sciences companies, Real Estate acquisitions, Public Equities and Public Debt as well as associated FX currency management.
The Role This role is viewed as a key position within the group and will provide the opportunity to work with a tight-knit executive team that are renowned for their excellent business acumen, investment success, and professionalism.
Reporting to the Managing Director (a Big 4 qualified ACA by background), the successful candidate will be responsible for ownership of all financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, robust financial control and risk management for company investments held in nine entities (Holding company investments and Property investments apart from one Trading company, with a low volume of transactions).
Although, accounting and finance related matters will be the primary focus of the role, it is envisaged that the individual will take on increasing responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities Preparation of quarterly management accounts Financial oversight of investments Preparation of statutory consolidated and individual financial statements Liaising with auditors and managing the external audit process Compliance Assisting with the timely filing of tax and company office returns Assisting with company secretary activities for all group entities Process Development and Improvements Continuously improving financial processes Assisting in implementing new financial processes and controls Management of third-party service providers Developing and managing relationships with bankers, tax and legal advisers Other Support ongoing finance and investment related projects The Candidate The successful candidate will have all or most of the following attributes: Qualified Accountant from industry or practice, Big 4 or equivalent, with excellent academics, and several years PQEWilling to work on a broad range of tasks, from routine/administrative to complex Strong analytical ability, with excellent numerical skills Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail Effective communication skills Location & Remuneration The role is office based in Dublin City with a strong remuneration package to attract the right individual.
