Overview
Our client, a biopharmaceutical company located in Dublin, is seeking a Data Manager to support the development, governance, and quality management of data within a regulated and technology-driven environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining high-quality data models, ensuring data integrity, and enabling data-driven insights across cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, R&D, and Data Science.
This role focuses on data governance, data quality, and collaboration to ensure data assets deliver meaningful value to the organisation.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimise data models to support business, operational, and analytical needs
Define, implement, and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Marketing, R&D, Data Engineering, and Analytics, to gather data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
Monitor data quality and integrity, proactively identifying and resolving data issues, inconsistencies, or anomalies
Perform data profiling, validation, and analysis to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across datasets
Establish and maintain data documentation, metadata management, and data cataloguing processes
Support and promote data governance best practices across the organisation
Provide guidance to stakeholders on data quality, data standards, and governance frameworks
Support the integration and management of data sourced from enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM platforms
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to data management, quality, and governance
Work independently to prioritise and manage multiple data initiatives in a dynamic environment
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Data Manager, Data Steward, Data Custodian, or similar data-focused role
Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal health data management principles.
Proven experience in data quality management, data modelling, data cataloguing, and metadata management
Experience working with modern data platforms and tools such as data catalogues, governance tools, and data lakes
Experience integrating and managing data from enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM platforms (e.g. SAP, Salesforce)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
