Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in managing the clients interests on its Capital Major and Minor works and Maintenance programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a proven track record of seeing projects through to their successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* To manage and monitor both the construction programme and cost plan with a view to minimising the impact on same of any variations to the project.
* To keep the project stakeholders informed of progress, cost and any other relevant issues.
* To oversee the tender and contractor / consultant appointment process.
* To chair and minute project review meetings.
* To ensure that all buildings, services, and equipment under their control are adequately maintained in accordance with approved maintenance programmes.
* To ensure smooth and timely flow of information between all parties to the contract.
* To identify and predict potential bottlenecks and delays and action remedies.
* To agree valuations and final accounts for contractors and consultants.
* To monitor build and material quality.
* To ensure contractor and consultancy contractual compliance.
* To assist in the front-end design planning and procurement of other projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 years construction project management experience.
* A knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement methodologies.
* A Level 8 Degree in Engineering or Construction.
* A current driving license and vehicle.
