Position Summary
Senior Director, Quality Business Process Excellence is responsible for enablement of the Innovative Medicine Quality processes and deliverables; leads specific end-to-end programs and owns specific end-to-end business processes. The role is strategic and responsible for creating and maintaining process decomposition, continuous improvement of key Quality processes, and consolidating the investment picture for the Quality Systems function. The leader shapes supply chain resiliency in close collaboration with R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain and Enterprise functions. Oversight is over a group of end-to-end business excellence people who support Innovative Medicine Quality with strategic problem statements and lead improvements in partnership with key business functions.
Responsibilities
* Enablement of the Quality processes and close business partnership with the Quality Systems & Innovative Medicine Quality Leadership teams.
* Process model and decomposition, ensuring documentation of processes, making these available through training, driving consistency and continuous improvement in line with business needs and scope.
* Investment management for Quality Systems in collaboration with the IMQ Strategy & Operations function.
* End-to-end performance management and tiered performance management, including monthly scorecard reviews with IMQ LT and ownership of a fully connected performance management structure.
* Resiliency ownership including foundational work on risk assessments, transparency on supply chain status, single point of contact for any SC resiliency challenges, and consolidation of yearly BoD review content on risk.
* Talent development, ensuring positions are filled with best-in-class talent who drive progression and flow to impactful positions.
* Excellent connections with other excellence groups in IMQ, Enterprise and partner functions.
* Collaboration in specific areas with R&D and Commercial to ensure IMQ processes are well aligned.
Required Minimum Education
* A Bachelor's degree is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience And Skills
* Minimum 10-12 years relevant business experience.
* Minimum 8 years in Supply Chain (Operational), Quality or R&D.
* Black Belt Certification preferred.
* Proven overall PE knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean or DEX.
* High tolerance for ambiguity in a complex environment.
* Ability to build effective partnering relationships.
* Familiarity with all aspects of the area supported.
* Understanding of overall business environment and financial acumen.
* Leverage deep understanding of internal and external customer needs and insights to inform decision-making and strengthen value to the customer.
* Track record of influencing the external environment based on knowledge of social, political, regulatory and economic issues.
* Consensus management skills.
* Full understanding of performance management metrics and linking them to strategic objectives.
