The Clinical Nurse Specialist – Infection Prevention role is a key position within the healthcare team, responsible for optimizing patient care through effective infection prevention and control strategies.

This specialist will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide expert advice on surveillance, prevention, investigation, and control of hospital-acquired infections. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
1. A registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by An Bord Altranais or eligible to register;
2. Experience in clinical nursing practice with a focus on infection prevention;
3. Possession of post-registration qualifications relevant to the specialist area such as QQI/NFQ Level 9 or higher award (60 ECTS or above);
The ability to demonstrate continuing professional development relevant to the specialist area;
The capacity for autonomous working as well as effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams."> -----------------------------------
