Social Care Worker
The Social Care Worker supports adults with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful, person‑centred lives within a residential and community setting.
Working in line with the ethos of my client, the role promotes dignity, independence, inclusion, and active participation in community life.
My client takes a holistic approach to supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health support needs. Rooted in the connection between people, nature, and community, our work focuses on enabling individuals to live healthy, fulfilling, and independent lives. This is a position based in South Dublin.
Key Responsibilities of Social Care Worker
Provide person‑centred support in daily living, personal care, and community participation.
Implement, follow, evaluate and contribute to the development of Individual Personal Plans.
Support residents’ health, wellbeing, and safeguarding in line with HIQA and organisational standards.
Administer medication in accordance with policy.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to risk assessments and support planning.
Support residents to engage in social, vocational and community‑based activities.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful and homely environment.
Requirements of Social Care Worker
Minimum Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
CORU registration or proof that application is in progress.
Minimum 1 year’s experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
Understanding of current national policy and sector developments relating to Social Care within disability services.
Full clean driver’s licence and access to own car (essential).
