Galway. As the Leisure Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy leisure facility which includes a fully equipped gym, indoor swimming pool, sauna, and a vibrant kids club. You will lead a team of fitness and lifeguard professionals, ensuring excellent service standards, safety, and member satisfaction at all times. Our client is part of a reputable and growing luxury hotel group with a strong emphasis on guest experience, health, and wellness. Their leisure centre is a core part of their offering, catering to hotel guests, members, and the local community. Key Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the leisure centre, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Manage a team of fitness instructors, lifeguards, and kids club staff. Develop and implement fitness programmes, swimming schedules, and children's activities. Monitor and maintain health and safety procedures in line with industry regulations. Drive membership growth and manage member retention strategies. Handle administrative duties including budgeting, rotas, payroll input, and reporting. Liaise with hotel management to coordinate guest services and cross-functional initiatives. Promote a positive team culture and lead by example in customer service excellence. Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience in a leisure centre or fitness facility management role. Fitness Instructor Certification (REPS Ireland or equivalent). Lifeguard Instructor Qualification (IWS or equivalent). Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team. Excellent organisational and customer service skills. Strong understanding of health and safety standards within a leisure environment. Proficient in basic administrative systems and leisure centre software. Must be living in Ireland with the legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland. Visa and relocation packages are not provided.
