Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state-of-the-art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin.
The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.

You will join the Global Quality Control network and play a key role in E2E Quality Transformation and QC Optimization Initiative.
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control (QC) Specialist with Data Scientist expertise to join our QC Network Team as a key contributor to the QC Digital Optimization Team.
This role is crucial in transforming how QC laboratories leverage data to improve quality, efficiency, and compliance.
The ideal candidate has experience in a QC laboratory, understands QC processes and regulations, and has expertise in analyzing complex QC data streams.
You will apply advanced data analytics to extract insights, optimize workflows, and drive digital transformation in quality operations.

Responsibilities include analyzing complex QC data, collaborating with analysts, developing business cases, supporting reporting models, automating reporting with tools like Power BI, Tableau, ensuring data integrity, optimizing workflows, partnering with stakeholders, supporting executive communications, maintaining analytical reports, working with IT and data teams, and driving innovation with big data analytics.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or related fields.
* 5+ years in QC or Manufacturing focusing on data analysis and digital optimization.
* Deep knowledge of lab operations, analytical testing, workflows, and regulations (GMP, GLP, FDA, ISO).
* Proficiency in SQL, Python, R.
* Experience with data visualization tools like Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau.
* Experience with LIMS, MES, ELN, and other digital QC systems.
* Strong statistical analysis, process monitoring, root cause investigations experience.
* Experience with advanced statistical techniques, machine learning, and platforms like Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP.
* Ability to translate data into actionable insights, with experience in regulated industries.
* Knowledge of data governance, security, and audit trails in QC.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Package:
Minimum 12-month contract with potential for extension.
