The Focus Area Project Manager (FAPM) is an Operations-focused process optimization expert and organizational change driver within Edge Network Services Coordination (ENSC).
The role is responsible for identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, velocity, and accuracy across ENSC services globally.
The FAPM proactively discovers automation and process improvement opportunities, initiates and leads associated projects, and collaborates with cross-functional partners to drive rapid and sustainable change.
As an organizational change expert, the FAPM builds effective learning and change management systems to address challenges and prevent process defect recurrence, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Scope
Drive process optimization and organizational change across diverse, complex operations-related challenges in all three regions (AMER, EMEA & APAC).
Recognized as a change leader with deep expertise in process improvement, automation/tooling, and AI-related domains.
Operate independently, deliver project & program impact, and receive general/directional guidance on new initiatives.
Address problems of broad scope, applying creative and data-driven solutions.
Your Roles and Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Automation: identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities across ENSC operations, and ensure unified and up-to-date knowledge management.
Change Management Leadership: develop and implement change management strategies, including training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement, to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
Project Initiation & Execution: create, plan, and execute process improvement and automation projects from concept to completion, coordinating with XFNs and internal teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with internal and external stakeholders to align on project goals, requirements, and deliverables.
Facilitate collaboration and resolve challenges to ensure project success.
Metrics & Continuous Improvement: establish and track KPIs and metrics to measure project impact.
Analyze results, identify recurring issues, and implement learning systems to prevent future challenges.
Learning & Knowledge Management: build and maintain effective learning systems, process documentation, and training programs to support ongoing organizational change and knowledge transfer.
Risk Management: proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project and process success.
Stakeholder Communication: provide clear, regular updates to stakeholders and leadership on project status, outcomes, and improvement opportunities.
Post-Project Evaluation: evaluate project outcomes against defined metrics, recommend and implement further improvements, and share best practices across the organization.
Other Duties: perform additional responsibilities as required to support edge coordination's mission of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven expertise in process optimization, automation, and organizational change management.
Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to collect, organize, and interpret large data sets to drive actionable insights.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement learning and change management systems.
Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written, documentation) and stakeholder management.
Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new tools, processes, and technologies.
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets, presentations, and process documentation.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
Sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications in project management, process improvement, or change management (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci).
Experience working/supporting operations programs for large Edge/CDN Networks.
Experience with automation tools and digital transformation initiatives.
Advanced change management knowledge and experience driving organizational transformation.
Physical Demand & Work Environment
Ability to perform office-related tasks, including prolonged sitting or standing.
Ability to move within an office environment.
Advanced computer use required.
Effective communication skills.
Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
