ROSETTA - Marie Skłodowowska-Curie Fellowship Programme 2024-2nd Call role at University of Galway.
ROSETTA is an innovative fellowship programme coordinated by the University of Galway and will involve four other universities (Implementing Partners): University College Cork, University College Dublin, University of Limerick and Trinity College Dublin. The programme is co-funded by LERO, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Software, the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions programme and the University of Galway. Fellows will be provided with a high-quality research environment and a training programme examining the development, use and regulation of technology from a time perspective across aspects of life, including children, people with disabilities, the workplace, healthcare and social inclusion for older people.
ROSETTA will recruit 19 fellowships, each for 2 years. Applications are invited from postdoctoral researchers across disciplines to explore the broad research area “the true impact of technology on our time.”

Essential Criteria
ROSETTA is open to applicants who have a PhD degree at the call deadline. Applicants who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but have not yet been awarded the degree will be considered eligible if the defence took place before the call deadline.
MSCA mobility rule: applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Ireland for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline (compulsory national service and short holidays are not counted).
Applicants must have working proficiency in English or be fluent in English. Non-native speakers may be required to provide evidence of English proficiency.
What we offer and eligibility
19 full-time fixed-term Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral Fellowships (PFs) at University of Galway; up to 9 fellowships may be awarded on the 2nd Call.
Fellowships are open to researchers with a PhD and compliant with eligibility and mobility rules; Researchers at Risk are encouraged to apply.
All fellowships will be based in Ireland, hosted by the ROSETTA supervisor’s host institution.

Salary and Funding
Gross salary is in line with EC rules for MSCA COFUND grants. Level 1: €50,124 gross per year (without family allowance) or €57,252 gross per year (with family allowance, if applicable). Mobility allowance of €6,480 annually is included in gross salary for 24 months. Salaries are subject to taxes and social contributions. An additional budget is provided for research and travel costs.
