We are working on behalf of a leading contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for Acrow Recruitment.
The successful candidate will work on residential, commercial, education, and healthcare projects in Co. Waterford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and cost plans for our clients.
* Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials, labour, and equipment.
* Manage and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
* Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow, providing regular reports to our Commercial Director.
* Conduct cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimise project costs.
* Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, as well as relevant regulations and industry standards.
* Ccollaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors within the team.
* Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor with a strong understanding of quantity surveying practices.
* Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a Tier 1 contractor.
* Excellent knowledge of cost management, contract administration, and commercial acumen.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in creating clear and concise reports and presentations.
* Familiarity with relevant industry software and tools.
* A valid driver's license.
What We Offer:
A salary in the range of €75,000 - €85,000 plus an excellent benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.
