We provide ongoing training and development opportunities to support our employees throughout their careers.The OpportunityWe are looking for an Instrument Technician to join our team in Bellanaboy Bridge on a 12-month fixed term contract. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs, calibration, planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including process monitoring transducers, automated equipment, emissions monitoring equipment, PLC/ DCS, motors, inverters, burners, testing and maintenance of SIS systems, ATEX remedial work and some inspectionHow you will make an impactMaintaining records of all EC&I equipment and system maintenance and calibration using the Computerised Maintenance Management System or other appropriate meansTo report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing improvements where appropriateTo liaise with operations staff and other maintenance staff as appropriateTo assist company and contractor's staff as appropriateMaintain the workshop and other work areas in a clean, tidy and safe conditionCarry out duties associated with company Health & Safety, environmental and quality procedures, including audits as appropriateCarry out other duties within the scope and spirit of the job as instructed by managementWhat you will bringThe ideal candidate for the role will have a proactive, flexible approach to their workload and must also be an excellent communicator. They will work in accordance with KAEFER values and code of business conduct, and will also inspire others to.Essential:Time served within an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation based roleExperience gained in a continuous process industryKnowledge of all aspects of maintenance techniques associated with control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic transducers, and instrumentationKnowledge of EC&IDesirable:Qualified to HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering disciplineExperience of high voltage apparatus is desirableWhy KAEFER?Our mission is clear: to be the most reliable and efficient provider of technical industrial services.KAEFER UK & Ireland provides a large and growing range of industries with asset integrity services including access solutions, insulation, surface protection, HVAC fabrication, E, C&I and more.
