Principal Corporate Counsel, Environmental Sustainability Legal Team (EMEA)
The Regulatory Affairs team within Cisco's Legal department is comprised of lawyers, operational specialists, program managers, engineers, and other experts focused on privacy, global trade, cybersecurity, telecom, environmental sustainability, and various regulatory practice areas. The team's charter is aligned with influencing, interpreting, and implementing evolving and existing regulations that impact Cisco's business and interacting with external partners on these important topics. We partner with colleagues in Legal and functional teams across the company to drive impact.
Your Impact
This team is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Corporate Counsel to provide regulatory guidance across a broad spectrum of EMEA environmental, supply chain, and product focused regulations. You will work closely with a wide range of cross‑functional teams, including Sustainability, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, Refresh, Legal, Government Affairs, Engineering, Workplace Resources and others. Your work will directly impact Cisco's ability to navigate increasingly complex legal landscapes in environmental sustainability and ensure unrestricted access to EMEA markets.

Monitoring and interpreting applicable EMEA environmental sustainability regulations, standards, and directives, such as ROHS, REACH, WEEE, PFAS, EPR, ESPR, CSRD, and the EU Batteries Regulation
Driving Cisco's environmental compliance strategy and developing internal processes, policies, and procedures in furtherance of that compliance strategy
Developing and providing training and updates to key stakeholders on regulatory requirements and developments
Collaborating with cross‑functional partners to integrate environmental sustainability compliance implementation requirements into product design and development processes
Partnering with Cisco's Government Affairs team to help influence existing and evolving regulations
Participating and engaging with industry associations
Partnering with colleagues in Legal to respond to regulators and enforcement agencies, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified lawyer (LLB, JD, or equivalent) in any EU jurisdiction or the UK, with 7+ years post‑qualification experience in sustainability or related regulatory compliance fields
In‑depth knowledge of relevant environmental sustainability regulations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English; additional European languages are an advantage
Proven track record of working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to develop, deliver, and guide effective, efficient regulatory compliance strategies and programs

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience working in or with multinational corporations, preferably in technology sector
Experience working with regulatory bodies and industry groups
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing AI‑powered tools or intelligence platforms to conduct risk assessments and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to predict and mitigate compliance risks
Excellent skills in written/verbal communication, time management, quantitative/analytical and process documentation

Senior Corporate Counsel – Financial Services Legal Team (Oracle)
Oracle's Financial Services Legal team is a specialist group in the company's Legal Department that provides strategic legal advice relating to financial services regulatory matters that affect Oracle and its customers. The team is global in scope and its responsibilities include monitoring, analysing and advising on regulatory developments, responding to regulatory proposals and consultations, supporting the implementation of regulatory‑driven operational and policy changes, advising on the regulatory implications of new services models, and addressing regulatory matters arising in the context of Oracle's sales, marketing and transactional activities.
About the Role: In this role, you will provide senior‑level support to Oracle in its compliance journey by helping to design and implement frameworks, policies and processes that will enable the company to meet its obligations under applicable regulations while managing its risk. You will partner with internal stakeholders at all levels and serve as a trusted advisor who can drive the changes needed to enable Oracle to achieve its compliance goals. You will oversee and shape Oracle's engagement and relationships with regulators and lead the company's preparation for, coordination of and response to regulatory oversight.
Preferred Qualifications

Practicing lawyer with 8‑10 years of relevant post‑qualification experience gained at a top‑tier law firm or in‑house legal department
Expertise in regulatory frameworks that affect service providers in the financial services industry, such as DORA and the UK CTP regime
Experience in dealing with regulators and managing regulatory supervision
Experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks
Knowledge of the technology sector
Excellent communication skills; diligent and attentive to detail
Self‑motivated, adaptable and commercially minded

Responsibilities
The Senior Corporate Counsel provides legal advice to the organization. Close liaison with business in providing a variety of corporate and commercial legal services. May perform litigation on Oracle's behalf or coordinate litigation and other legal, administrative or investigative actions handled by outside counsel. May draft, review, and negotiate major and/or non‑standard technology contracts with public and private sector customers, including licensing agreements, professional services agreements, and cloud services agreements. May advise on legal issues involving government and regulatory compliance. Responds to ad hoc queries to identify, analyse, and evaluate risks in order to provide appropriate legal solutions. Works closely with other lawyers throughout Oracle and coordinates legal matters handled by outside lawyers.

Senior Lead Counsel – Corporate Law (Citi)
Role Overview

The Senior Lead Counsel (Proprietary M&A and Strategic Investments Legal) is a senior level position responsible for serving as subject‑matter expert and legal advisor to business stakeholders, functional partners, and the Legal Management Committee by providing counsel and thought leadership on all aspects of legal matters related to M&A and Strategic Investment transactions undertaken by the firm globally.
It provides input into strategic decisions, exercising sound legal judgment to develop proactive, risk‑appropriate and commercially business‑oriented solutions.

What you’ll do

Prepare, execute, and advise the business on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic joint ventures and strategic investments involving businesses or assets that will be integrated into Citi’s management and financial reporting structure
Provide legal issues and disputes through preventative and proactive legal advice and identifying risk relating to M&A and Strategic Investment transactions
Serve as a recognized subject‑matter expert to senior management and key stakeholders
Represent the firm internally and externally with clients, government bodies or other organizations
Anticipate, evaluate, and respond to local and international laws and regulations
Proactively identify, evaluate and manage legal, regulatory, and reputational risk
Participate in planning and development initiatives and provide thought leadership
Monitor management of complex issues and transactions, escalating necessary issues
Advise in complex negotiations with counterparties and govern the risk

What we need from you

Relevant industry experience, preferably in financial services
Banking or financial industry experience, including laws related to banking regulations
Comprehensive knowledge of laws, regulations and practices while staying abreast of regulatory and legal environment and internal policies and industry trends
Experience with complex deals, demonstrated ability to analyse issues and develop legal solutions
Effective communication and negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organisational and relationship management skills
Proven ability to apply sound judgment while managing assignments in a demanding, fast‑paced environment
Bar licence or legal qualification in good standing to practise law in the United Kingdom (England and Wales)

Education

Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree
