Engineer Power Project An Engineer with approximately 2 years experience is required to support major energy grid upgrades in the North Connacht, East Mayo, and NW Roscommon region by a leading civils and utilities contractor. These projects are part of critical infrastructure initiatives designed to integrate more renewable energy into the national grid and improve network capacity and reliability. The role is ideal for a proactive engineer looking to gain further experience on high-profile power infrastructure projects in a dynamic construction and utilities environment. Role: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical or civil engineering works for the power project. Support the design, installation, and commissioning of high-voltage network infrastructure. Monitor project progress and ensure engineering works comply with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Prepare and review drawings, technical documentation, and reports. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues. Assist with site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities. Maintain accurate records of engineering works, site activities, and project documentation. Support health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance on-site. Requirements: Approximately 2 years experience as an engineer in construction, utilities, or energy infrastructure projects. Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline). Knowledge of power transmission, distribution systems, or related civil works is desirable. Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards. Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Detail-oriented with good organisational skills. Full clean driving licence. Right to work in ROI.
