Technical Support Specialist
This office-based role involves providing technical support to the engineering team and liaising with customers on equipment breakdowns and technical queries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate day-to-day operations of the service department.
* Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
* Manage customer equipment breakdowns, prioritizing Fanuc & Piovan experience as a significant advantage.
* Liaise with principal partners to source parts, schematics, and calibration instruments.
* Maintain and upload RAMS to customer portals, ensuring seamless data exchange.
* Update machinery records in software management systems, streamlining operational efficiency.
* Collaborate on service schedules and contribute to operational planning.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferably with plastics machinery knowledge).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, emphasizing strong technical skills.
* Familiarity with plastics machinery (Fanuc & Piovan experience is highly desirable).
* Previous experience in maintenance or service-focused roles, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics, ensuring accuracy in technical decision-making.
* Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, facilitating effective liaison between teams.
