The Opportunity
As the Senior Claims Damage Manager you will lead the strategic and operational management of our Damage Claims team.
You will report to the Head of Claims and be a key stakeholder in executing the Customer‑Driven Transformation strategy.
Your focus will be on people, performance, processes and delivery of the Department strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Translate strategic goals into clear objectives for Damage Managers and their teams.
Lead Damage Team Managers to achieve departmental and personal goals.
Develop performance plans, manage talent development, succession planning and technical capability.
Oversee Service Delivery in Damage areas; monitor and analyse KPIs.
Represent Claims Damage in senior fora, own allocated topics and drive cross‑functional delivery.
Set and achieve service standards, develop high‑performing teams and deliver on Customer‑Driven Transformation.
Manage relationships and service delivery KPIs with critical outsource providers.
Identify and implement simplified customer journeys and cross‑skill capability within Damage.
Support the claims digital and transformation journey, empowering operational improvements.
Collaborate with the Head of Claims on Department strategy, anticipating, adapting and implementing change.
Work with Claims Change Manager on operational improvements and act as Damages subject‑matter expert.
Represent Allianz in external forums and align with best practice initiatives.
Essential Requirements / Skills & Experience
Minimum 4+ years in People and Operations Management.
Prior experience within Claims handling and/or operational management.
Demonstrated ability to implement change and transformation.
Required certifications: APA, CIP, Dip CII, Grandfathered or ACII.
Proven track record of customer service delivery against relevant KPIs (e.g., SLAs, targets, quality metrics).
Desirable
Experience managing technical teams in a Claims environment.
Relevant third‑level qualification.
Familiarity with regulatory context and requirements.
