Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Leixlip, Co. Kildare
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our growing team onsite at our new facility in Kildare. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing field service engineering activities to our customers on-site.
About the Role
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex products and problems. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be customer-facing, on-site, and ensure all products/equipment are maintained.
* Manage service calls and determine customer needs or problems, and respond accordingly
* Provide over-the-phone consultation and advice to the customer, may need to respond to emergency customer situation or may need to schedule and repair the company's products at the customer's site
* Perform preventive maintenance on company products
* Establish and manage a local maintenance service structure
* Inspect and evaluate customer usage of company products
* Provide training to customers in the usage and maintenance of company products
* Provide application support on the company's products to customers
* Liaise between the customer and the applications programmer for customer requests involving changes in applications
* Ability to research market needs and customer applications of company products
* Submit application reports to management in a timely manner
* Support sales activities and establish and maintain good relationships with customers
* Provide training to other company field service engineers as needed
* Submit various reports, such as service reports, weekly reports, and expense reports to management on time
* Responsible for maintaining company parts and tools and ensuring downtimes are at a minimum
* Effectively communicate with head office engineers regarding product applications and technical issues
* Maintain high ethical standards in the workplace and comply with all company policies and procedures
Qualifying Criteria
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
* Ideally 2-5 years of experience working as an FSE in the Semiconductor Industry (New graduates with internship experience would also be considered)
* Experience/exposure to Lithography, Optics, Plasma, Laser, robotics, is highly preferred
* Experience in troubleshooting/repair of optics/laser, and any mechanical under vacuum environment experience
* Eligibility to travel overseas on occasion
* Experience with hand tools, electronic diagnostic equipment, test fixtures equipment
* Efficient use of office equipment and software includes the use of Windows operating system & MS Office
* Excellent communication skills and solution-focused attitude
