Job Title: Land Surveyor
The role of a Land Surveyor is to conduct site surveys using GPS, Total Station and Levelling equipment, compile reports from the surveys and convert them into 2D and 3D formats. This involves reading and being familiar with site drawings and specifications, conducting site mark-ups and ensuring surveying equipment is maintained to the highest standard.
This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure. The successful candidate will be competent in Carlson and AutoCAD software, have previous setting out experience with a GPS and Total Station and mapping experience, and be able to communicate effectively as part of a team.
A Civil Engineer or Surveyor Degree / Qualification is required, along with 2 years+ experience in a similar position. Experience in conducting surveys, working to deadlines and targets, and managing contracts is essential. Self-motivation, initiative and adaptability are key attributes for this role, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders. They will also possess excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
