QHSE Officer
We're searching for a proactive
QHSE Officer
who thrives on ownership, precision and building a strong safety and quality culture. This is a hands-on role where you'll make a visible impact, supporting 20 field engineers, partnering with managers across the business, and ensuring we remain fully compliant and continuously improving.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
* Carry out regular
site spot checks
(approx. every two weeks) and ensure engineer activities meet all legislative requirements.
* Manage
H&S documentation
, including customer requests, training records, RAMS and emergency procedures.
* Lead on
Near Miss / Incident reporting
and follow-ups.
* Monitor compliance with all H&S legislation and support managers with required documentation.
Training Management
* Own our H&S training programme 20 mandatory courses per engineer.
* Track expirations, schedule renewals, and ensure every team member stays compliant (Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Heights, etc.).
Quality
* Support Quality activities within the business.
* Maintain QMS documentation and assist in preparation for certifications, no auditing responsibility at this level.
Operational Support
* Collaborate daily with the
Field Service Manager
, HQ teams internationally, and colleagues across the business.
* Manage ad-hoc tasks such as ordering workwear and supporting administrative QHSE processes.
* Ensure all policies, procedures and templates remain current and correctly controlled.
Key requirements
* Minimum
FETAC Level 6
in Health & Safety or equivalent.
* NEBOSH General Certificate
(or equivalent).
* 1–3 years' experience in a QHSE-focused position.
* Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 / auditing experience not required).
* Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build trusted internal relationships.
* A self-starter with a collaborative mindset, comfortable managing your own diary and taking initiative.
