You will be fully integrated into our team and have access to excellent professional development, training opportunities, and career growth pathways.The PositionAs organisations are increasingly reliant on technology and as the security landscape in which businesses are forced to operate becomes more and more difficult, the profession of Security/ cyber security audit is fast becoming one of the most dynamic and exciting disciplines around.At Forvis Mazars, our team helps clients identify and manage technology risks across areas like cybersecurity, data protection, IT audit, and digital transformation.We wish to hire a security/ cyber security auditor/ audit senior coming from a strong technical security background having either worked in a security, cyber security or Security/ cyber security audit role for at least 3 years.The successful candidate will join a growing team of strong technical security audit professionals working on a range of prestigious Irish and international clients. This role will afford the successful candidate with the capacity to develop both your technical IT/security skills and your audit and security compliance skills.If you're interested in the intersection of tech, audit, and business strategy, this is an exciting space to grow your career.Key RequirementsWe accept applications from a range of different backgrounds. Whilst a strong academic background is key, what's more important to us is how you apply yourself to your work and to the pursuit of knowledge. You may have a background in technology, computer science, engineering, security or cyber security - but what's important is that you bring to the firm a willingness to learn and apply your skills in the best way possible and to service our clients.A professional qualification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar would be an advantage.Candidates must have strong knowledge ofEU security legislation such as NIS/ NIS 2Security standards such as ISO 27001/2Technology and infrastructureCybersecurity threats and enterprise defencesOperational security infrastructure controls such as Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Internet proxies PKI Infrastructure, prevention solutions and methodology as well as various user authentication productsTechnical cyber security practices and solutions such as security infrastructure, security monitoring, patching, operation of a SOC/SIEM, threat management, penetration testing, vulnerability managementSecurity patch management, security incident and event managementDeep understanding of security for Linux/Windows servers, and related TCP/IP protocols. Experience with secure configuration for Linux and Windows serversExperience with WLAN security protocols and tools, such as 802.1X, LEAP, PEAP, WPA, and VPN technologiesNon technical cyber security practices- governance, risk management, security policy, playbooks, incident management, threat intelligence etcIdeal CandidateFluent spoken and written EnglishA bachelor's degree in security, cyber security, technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field (at least a 2:1)A Master's degree would be an advantageAt least 3 years working in a technical security/ cyber security or security/ cyber security audit roleDemonstrate strong independent decision-making abilitiesBe capable of identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas and implementing solutionsBe an enthusiastic self-starter that has excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify andanalyse problems, propose potential improvements to clients.Be capable of identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge or skills on the job.Can set own high standards of performance and delivering desired resultsCandidates who have only worked on external financial IT audits need not apply.Don't wait.
