Job Description
EMEA Fixed Income Operations provides post-trade support for fixed income and securities trading partners.
The team supports post-trade activities within Global Markets Operations and cross-functional support to Global Markets Lines of Business including Repo, Rates, Credit, Mortgages, and Frontier Markets.
The department offers operational support and expertise to Sales and Trading Desks as a team of specialists responsible for client trade allocations, exception management, breaks reconciliation, clearing and settlement, and platinum client service.
Associates engage with external clients, providing dedicated support for Platinum clients, acting as primary operations contact for client queries, escalations, and settlement facilitation.
FICC Operations contributes to strategic, regulatory, and technology change.
The department provides a robust portfolio of markets settlements, client service, front-office exposure, and initiative delivery.
As a senior member of the team, you will be a secondary escalation point across EMEA FICC Operations.
You will support regional associates, encourage inclusion and engagement, and drive continuous process improvement, strategic change, and risk remediation opportunities.
You will interact regularly with front office partners, gaining exposure to market rules, business strategy, and a diverse range of fixed income products.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with trading, sales and clients, technology & settlement teams globally to optimise settlement rates and reduce fails/breaks
Identify and implement process improvements, independently or with technology partnerships
Input into and support strategic work, regulatory change, and projects affecting the team.
Responsible for program requirements, test scripts, UAT, and go-live monitoring
Ensure allocation and settlement of securities for global markets, taking necessary actions to eliminate market risk
