Job Purpose
Full-time Permanent Stock Controller
Duties and Responsibilities
Control of Branch Stocks
Implement daily interim stock checking/cycle counts plan, investigate variances.
Daily investigation and correction of negative stocks and SIU stock adjustments.
Weekly reporting of all stock adjustment variances to Group Stock Manager.
Ensure month end stock processes completed each month.
Maintain and verify branch gate sheet; record goods in the system per group policy.
Liaise with suppliers on shortages/damages or incorrect deliveries.
Monitor special order stocks and process accordingly.
Adhere to group policy on stock locations and health & safety requirements.
Monitor aged stock, implement action plan to reduce levels.
Prepare and coordinate twice-yearly stock takes; investigate variances and report to Group Stock Manager.
Work with Branch Manager/Purchaser to ensure optimum stock levels and valuation targets.
Skills and Requirements
Strong attention to detail.
Experience in a similar role.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Team player.
Relevant building materials knowledge is an advantage.
