Site Construction Manager
The role of a site construction manager is critical to the success of any building project. As a seasoned professional in this field, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities on site, ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with relevant specifications.
In this position, you will be expected to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians. Your experience in setting out and testing materials will be invaluable in this role, as you will need to review and approve information from drawings and specifications before passing it on to foremen and operatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* To set out the works and ensure that all personnel understand the information provided
* To review information from drawings and specifications, and to test materials as directed by your supervisor/line manager
* To conduct quality reviews on site, focusing on rebar and concrete placement
* To direct subcontractors as necessary, ensuring that all works are carried out to the required standard
* To maintain accurate records of daily activities, including relevant information and occurrences
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in Engineering
* Proven experience in setting out or working as a Site engineer in previous roles
* Experience working with a main contractor, surveying firm, or similar preferred
* Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
