We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Senior Occupational Therapist in our Mental Health Services team.

We provide services to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Management: Manage a caseload, carrying out assessment, evidenced based intervention and evaluation of treatment programmes for individuals presenting with complex mental health difficulties residing in a low secure mental health unit.
2. Occupational Therapy Assessment: Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention with consideration for self-care, productive and leisure occupations.
3. Interdisciplinary Working: Engage in interdisciplinary working with members of the clinical team including Consultant Psychiatrists, Behaviour Specialists, Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Care Workers and Assistance Support Workers to meet the person-centred needs of individuals on your caseload.
4. Treatment Programmes: Develop and facilitate individual and group therapy programmes within the mental health unit based on the identified occupational performance difficulties of individuals.
Promote recovery-oriented occupational therapy practice in your interactions and work with individuals, staff and other key stakeholders. Participate in promoting compliance with our quality framework, contribute to individual care planning, risk assessment and risk management. Complete detailed reports for internal/external stakeholders and ensure the quality of documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and reports are in accordance with our policy and professional standards.
