Health & Safety Expert
A vital position supporting project delivery across all aspects of a business.
* Carry out regular health and safety audits, identify non-compliance issues, and address them with management and contractors.
* Maintain strict control over site folders and statutory records.
* Deliver internal training programs on manual handling, safety inductions, and toolbox talks.
* Evaluate ongoing training needs for personnel and contractors.
* Implement environmental policies and ensure compliance.
* Assist in developing risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and safety initiatives.
* Prepare accident/incident reports and maintain health and safety KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
* Foster strong relationships with contractors, site managers, and regulatory bodies.
* Maintain clear communication lines with the H&S Manager.
Requirements: Full clean driving license essential. Proven experience in Civil Engineering, Drainage, or Utilities (Water & Electricity). Conducting safety inspections, audits, and investigations expertise required. Strong ability to manage risk and implement control measures. 3rd-level qualification in Health and Safety. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
