Reporting to the General Manager the Quality Manager is responsible for embedding and sustaining Quality and Food Standards throughout the business.
They are also responsible for fostering a culture of quality-first, customer service, and continuous improvement throughout the Business.
Responsibilities
* Working with the Technical Manager in the implementation and continuous improvement of all elements of the quality management system .
* Responsible for the Management of non-compliances and customer complaints including notifications and implementing procedures for critical non-compliances including recalls as per Scheme Rules 2.4.2.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP/
TACCP/VACCP
, food safety, legal and customer requirements of all products.
- Leading and preparing for customer, third party audits and DAFM audits. Accompanying these customer, Dept of Agriculture and visitors during plant inspections and visits.
- Responsible for the maintenance and
management
of the calibration and pest control systems within the factory.
- Performing internal hygiene, maintenance and glass register audits
, along with completing additional quality system control records.
- Performing traceability exercises and
management of the BRC & Bord Bia traceability schedules.
- Maintenance,
ongoing sampling, monitoring, and trending of the micro testing schedule within the plant, along with staying up to date with relevant legislation.
Maintaining, monitoring and updating of all maintenance related paperwork
e.g. new equipment commissioning, monitoring the PM system etc.
- Carrying out induction training, generating all employees training packs, carrying out all employee's annual refresher training, maintain and monitoring training related files, such as versatility charts
,
creating internal training programmes and providing training for upskilling the operations and quality team.
- Working with
managers to ensure strict food safety, GMP and hygiene standards are implemented, maintained and adhered to.
- Preparing, organising and monitoring a food safety culture plan annually to enable
a culture which drives food safety throughout the site.
Management of customer satisfaction surveys for each of Glen Aines customers.
- Management of the quality control temperature monitoring system ensure it is always operating correctly. Liaising with the supplier to ensure any issues are resolved.
- Carry out validations of Glen Aines CCPs and Pre-requisites on an ongoing basis.
- Informing the company's senior management of all relevant legislative, scientific and technical developments, and industry codes of practice applicable in the country of raw material supply, production and were known any countries where Glen Aine products are sold or will be sold.
Qualifications
· Third level degree minimum in the Sciences, Engineering or Process disciplines.
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Food/Dairy Business in Quality Assurance, Food Safety & Process Improvement in a quality / operational environment.
· A track record in process improvement activity, ideally from the quality perspective.
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Strong team-working and communication skills.
· Aptitude for operational processes, working with cross- functional teams and continuous improvement.
· Experience in Auditing and facilitating Corrective Action,
· Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite & ideally LIMS, Minitab ).
