Electrical Estimator Role
The Electrical Estimator plays a crucial role in our Design and Build Consultancy, responsible for overseeing electrical estimation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attend project start-up meetings and conduct site visits to ensure accurate assessments.
2. Produce detailed enquiry schedules outlining scope of works and required packages based on tender documentation, drawings, and specifications issued.
3. Identify tender deliverables needed from Project Designers and ensure timely delivery.
4. Evaluate returned quotations from suppliers and negotiate with them to meet project specification requirements.
5. Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for scopes of projects using estimating software such as Excel, Causeway, CCS Candy & Kubus.
6. Contribute to the project risk register and attend risk meetings alongside Estimators, Planning Engineers, Design Co-ordinators, and Client representatives.
7. Attend tender price settlement meetings with the tender team, including the Estimating Manager, and participate in Tender Handover meetings with Estimators and project teams.
8. Assist the Estimating Manager in promoting collaboration with functional leaders to develop effective problem-solving strategies and estimates.
9. Review and revise tender amendments where necessary, utilizing client feedback received on submitted tenders.
10. Provide support and respond to tender queries made by project team personnel as required.
11. In conjunction with the Contract Manager and Senior Management, review contract details relevant to the company's ability to deliver under the contract.
12. Collaborate with Business Development personnel and key tendering department staff regarding tender upload and submission.
13. Tender for a variety of HV/MV/LV large-scale projects.
