Director - Finance Reporting - Dublin - Hybrid

ICON now has a great opportunity for a Director of Finance to join our growing finance team in Dublin 18. In this role, you will be responsible for controlling and reporting on the financial affairs of the business and aiding the SVP Finance / Finance Director / Management in decision-making through superior financial analysis.

You will also contribute to strategic and tactical discussions on wider issues globally with other management team members. You will manage finance staff and ensure accounts are prepared and reported in accordance with U.S.GAAP and local GAAP requirements. Additionally, you will ensure ongoing regulatory compliance aligned with corporate and local regulations. This role requires strong change project management skills to ensure the finance function provides responsive, centre of excellence support to business initiatives and challenges.

What you will be doing:

- Manage the monthly & quarterly reporting close process to strict deadlines, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of reported information.
- Oversee statutory reporting for all legal entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and taxation requirements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and practices across the business to ensure accurate reflection of financial results and reliable stakeholder information.
- Maintain and strengthen financial accounting and corporate governance controls, ensuring SOX compliance.
- Manage the annual audit, quarterly reviews, and SOX testing processes.
- Develop and monitor key business and performance indicators in collaboration with the Finance Director / SVP Finance.
- Lead, develop, and strengthen the global financial reporting team, including performance management, training, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes and systems related to accounts payable, intercompany transactions, financial reporting, statutory accounting, and taxation.
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the financial reporting team.
- Provide advice and support to senior finance and corporate stakeholders.

What you will bring:

- Qualified Accountant with 7+ years post-qualification experience.
- Expertise in accounting standards, policies, and procedures, with a strong track record in financial and regulatory management within relevant industries.
- Leadership in finance, building a centre of excellence aligned with business needs.
- Strong business analysis skills to evaluate and implement financial solutions supporting business growth.
- Experience in corporate finance, regulatory reporting, taxation, and treasury.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and improve financial systems, initiatives, and processes.

- Confident, decisive personality with excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong networking ability, with presence and gravitas, building internal and external relationships.
