Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Dublin (Hybrid) Senior Mechanical Design Engineer required to join a leading, award-winning Building Services consultancy delivering high-performance engineering solutions across Ireland. Responsibilities: Lead and manage full mechanical design across projects of all sizes, always demonstrating client care. Provide quality control and technical guidance on Mechanical Engineering deliverables across teams. Manage project performance, including cost control, client satisfaction, and project profitability. Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams across offices and external project stakeholders. Oversee and contribute to detailed designs including HVAC, LTHW, water services, fuel systems, BMS, and drainage. Attend site visits, client meetings, surveys, and represent the company as a technical lead. Mentor and support the development of junior engineers. Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations (particularly TGD Parts B, F, G, L). Coordinate with BIM teams and support the use of dynamic simulation and thermal modelling tools. Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Level 7 minimum). 5+ years Mechanical Design experience within a Building Services Consultancy. Strong expertise in water, heating, HVAC, and BMS design across a variety of building types. Excellent knowledge of Irish building codes and standards. Proven experience in delivering detailed design packages through the full lifecycle. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; IESVE and other thermal/energy modelling tools are advantageous. Strong project leadership and stakeholder coordination experience. Chartered or working towards Chartership (support provided). Commercial sector and BIM experience are highly desirable.
