About the Role Flogas LPG is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in supporting the financial performance and strategic direction of the All-Island LPG business.
This is a senior, influential role that combines strong financial reporting and control with commercial insight, strategic support, and people leadership.
Working closely with the finance and business leaders, the role will act as a trusted advisor, driving robust financial governance while supporting growth, pricing, and strategic initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Governance Lead monthly financial reporting for the All-Island of Ireland LPG business.
Identify financial risks and opportunities, supporting mitigation and value creation initiatives.
Lead and coordinate the external and internal audit process, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.
Ensure strong financial controls and governance are embedded across the LPG business.
Commercial Support Prepare pricing assessments and financial evaluations for potential new customers and commercial opportunities.
Manage and report on key business metrics, delivering actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
Partner with the Head of Finance / Finance Director on costbenefit analysis for new initiatives and investments.
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including detailed analysis of all overheads.
Act as a trusted sounding board to the LPG leadership team, supporting strategic thinking and constructively challenging the status quo.
Deliver ongoing ad-hoc analysis and project work aligned to business priorities.
Finance Operations Support accurate financial recording, business continuity, and consistent application of finance processes.
Evaluate, implement, and enhance financial controls to safeguard assets, profitability, and cash flow always ensuring effective management of working capital.
Support business and finance teams with the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of finance systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
People Leadership Manage and develop assigned LPG finance direct reports, working collaboratively with the wider Group Finance function.
Drive high levels of team engagement, capability development, and performance.
Champion continuous improvement and process innovation within the Finance team and across the LPG Division.
Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a commercially focused finance professional with strong experience in financial reporting, FP&A and business partnering within a complex or regulated environment.
They will bring the credibility to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, combining analytical rigour with pragmatic commercial insight.
A confident communicator and people leader, they will be comfortable challenging assumptions, driving continuous improvement, and supporting strategic decision-making across pricing, growth, and transformation initiatives, while maintaining robust financial governance and control.
