We are currently recruiting a Senior Social Worker for a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Mode of Working: On-site Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours of Work:37 hours per week / 74 hours per fortnight.
Responsibilities Lead and deliver a modern, high-quality Social Work service within the Hospital.
Contribute to strategic and operational development initiatives across the organisation.
Actively participate in the Clinical Governance Committee, supporting the implementation of strategic and operational plans.
Ensure Social Work services are planned, delivered, and evaluated to the highest clinical standards, in line with national and local requirements.
Provide services within a legally compliant and ethically sound framework.
Deliver efficient, effective, and cost-conscious Social Work services within allocated resources.
Support and promote research, teaching, and academic development, including collaboration with associated institutions such as Trinity College Dublin.
Provide professional Social Work support to patients, families, and carers, particularly within rehabilitation services.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care programmes using evidence-based practices, maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical records.
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, while supporting the education, training, and supervision of student social workers and colleagues.
Requirements Registered with, or eligible for registration on, the Social Worker Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU.
Hold a recognised degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and be eligible for membership with the Irish Association of Social Workers.
Minimum of five years' full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience.
Demonstrated clinical experience working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions, particularly in rehabilitation settings.
Significant experience in homeless services and forensic mental health environments.
Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, with strong knowledge of Clinical Governance principles and practices.
Experience in teaching, supervision, and practice education of student social workers, with a commitment to ongoing staff development.
Sound knowledge and practical experience of health and safety standards and relevant statutory regulations within healthcare settings.
