Background
A client of Strive Search are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to deliver challenging civils projects in the wastewater sector.
You'll oversee contracts from pre-start to operational handover, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Reporting to senior management, you'll lead project teams, manage design and construction activities, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring commercial, technical, and contractual success.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of build-only and design-build contracts for public and private clients.
Lead and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and support staff.
Oversee design, engineering, construction, and contract administration.
Liaise with multidisciplinary teams (civil, process, mechanical, electrical, ICA, H&S, BIM).
Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships from inception to close-out.
Plan and schedule project deliverables and resources.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Monitor project performance, resolve issues, and report progress to management.
Deliver projects to financial, quality, and risk management targets.
What they are looking for
Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
8+ years' experience in water/wastewater contracting, including site supervision and design.
Strong knowledge of water/wastewater processes and contract conditions.
Proven track record delivering multiple infrastructure contracts.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Proficient in MS Office; MS Project experience preferred.
Chartered Engineer desirable but not essential.
