Job Summary
Now recruiting for our brand new 50 bed mental health service opening in 2024 in Co. Meath. This facility will be led by a talented multi-disciplinary team and is a great opportunity for anyone looking to progress their career as a Psychiatric Nurse. This is a unique and exciting advancement within the Mental Health Sector in Ireland.

*Salary comparable to HSE Psychiatric nursing pay scales.
Job Objectives

* Co-operate with your employer and comply with responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 2001 and Mental Health Amendment Act 2018, the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, and all associated standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
* Be familiar with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
* Use company IT systems as instructed and never share your passwords or do anything likely to result in the unauthorized disclosure of personal data as defined under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
* Provide patients with quality services and manage the nursing staff's care for patients.
* Assess and evaluate patient conditions, plan, implement, provide, and document patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards.
* Ensure clinical risk assessments are completed as required.
* Adhere to current legal requirements for the safe administration and storage of medicines in accordance with best practice.
* Manage a designated workload.
* Have a sound knowledge of clinical standards and participate in patient care audits.
* Delegate and supervise the work of other staff grades within their role’s remit.
* Work closely with patients and the interdisciplinary care team with person-centred care as the goal.
* Demonstrate a high degree of motivation and assume responsibility for your own professional development while contributing to the development of others.
* Respect and maintain the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of the patient in relation to all hospital activities.
Skills Requirement
* Must have undertaken formal recognised post-registration education relevant to this area of specialist practice at level 8 or above.
* Full Clean Driver’s licence or working towards.
* Minimum 3 years of experience within a similar mental health setting.
