About Your New Job The Senior Financial accountant will: Management of the finance function: Oversee financial operations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports: Maintain up-to-date financial records and present findings to senior management. Treasury management: Handle cash flow, investments, and financial risk management. Month-end process management: Ensure timely and accurate closure of financial periods. Budget preparation: Develop and manage budgets to support business planning and decision-making. Business analysis and reporting on performance: Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data. What Skills You Need This job requires: Qualified accountant: Professional accounting qualification is essential. 3-5 years PQE: Proven post-qualification experience in an SME. Excel proficiency: Strong skills in pivot tables, sumif/vlookup, etc. Analytical skills: Ability to articulate financial performance clearly and concisely. Personal skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with non-financial stakeholders. Experience with Sage: Preferable but not essential.
