Overview
Site EHS Manager role at HRM.
Lead the development and delivery of environmental, health, and safety programs to meet high standards of regulatory compliance and corporate policy.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems to the highest industry standards and align with corporate standards.
Promote and facilitate high environmental, health, and safety performance across all site activities.
Manage the process safety management system.
Provide routine and non-routine EHS reporting to appropriate third parties in a timely and comprehensive manner.
Conduct regular site safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Keep abreast of relevant safety and environmental legislation and regulations locally, nationally and within the EC.
Plan and deliver the annual safety and environmental training programme.
Partner with HR to ensure mandatory training is completed.
Ensure staff receive appropriate training related to new/revised SOPs, health and safety issues and environmental issues.
Oversee the site emergency response programme in conjunction with the production and facilities manager.
Develop site safety and environment policies and procedures with the Corporate Safety and Environment Group.
Work with the HRBP in the area of occupational health.
Experience
Degree in Science/Engineering.
Formal safety qualification.
Previous relevant industrial experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
Experience in IPPC license, GHG permit compliance, and ISO14001 implementation and operation would be beneficial.
Strong EHS leadership with previous managerial experience.
Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and EHS management systems.
Creative in developing new safety and environmental programmes and solutions.
Demonstrated abilities to provide direction to employees, establish overall objectives and resources, and broadly define missions and functions.
