The role of the Assembler is to assemble, test, and package quality products in the Valve, Manifold, Small Part Assembly, and Packaging departments. Key Job Responsibilities:
* Perform various assembly operations to assemble small and medium-sized units with numerous parts.
* Recognize defective parts.
* Work from drawings, specifications, and work instructions, using measuring instruments and gauging devices.
* Perform final assemblies, inspections, and testing.
* Fit and align components to ensure proper movement and operation.
* Set up and operate machines in assembly departments.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards.
* Assist other departments as needed.
* Use computers to enter labor hours.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
* Proficiency with standard manufacturing and business tools, including Microsoft Office.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
* Capable of learning new concepts with minimal supervision.
* Strong commitment to managing responsibilities.
* Ability to present ideas clearly to groups.
* Interpret operating instructions and blueprints for assembly and wiring.
* High accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
* Learn to set up, operate, and troubleshoot new equipment.
* Read and understand policies, procedures, picklists, routings, and work instructions.
* Ability to count accurately by hand or scale.
Physical Demands:
* Stand, sit, and handle objects regularly; communicate verbally and hear; operate foot pedals.
* Lift and carry up to 10 lbs regularly; up to 25 lbs occasionally.
* Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, with focus adjustment.
* Use personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection when necessary. Hair must be tied back; jewelry is prohibited during operation of power equipment.
