Community Employment Supervisor

NCE Outreach is seeking a Community Employment Supervisor with strong practical skills and a passion for guiding CE participants toward personal and professional growth through hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver practical training and supervision to Community Employment participants in various DIY disciplines (e.g. woodwork, painting, basic repairs).
* Design and implement structured training programmes to help participants build valuable, transferable skills.
* Monitor participant progress, providing feedback and support to ensure positive learning outcomes.
* Maintain a safe and productive workshop environment, ensuring proper use of tools and materials.
* Foster teamwork, motivation, and confidence among participants preparing for further education or employment.
* Oversee administration, compliance and participant learning plans
* Maintain compliance with all Department of Social Protection and operational standards.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
* A recognised qualification in a relevant field such as carpentry, construction, maintenance or building services (NFQ Level 6 or higher) and/or a Train the Trainer qualification are highly desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in construction, DIY, home improvement, or related practical trades.
* Previous supervisory or training experience is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Solid understanding of tools, materials, and safety procedures.
* A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others reach their potential.
Salary: Point 1 of the CE Supervisor Salary Scale
