Toolmaker – Galway
We are currently seeking an experienced
Toolmaker
to join our client's team in Galway.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer, supporting the production and maintenance of moulding tooling.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture, repair, and service multi-impression tooling, including dismantling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembly.
Attend mould breakdowns, identify root causes, and resolve issues such as flashing, gating, venting, and cooling.
Operate a range of workshop machinery (lathes, presses, milling machines, grinders).
Carry out preventative maintenance in line with PM schedules.
Maintain moulds to company standards and document all maintenance activities.
Support spare parts inventory management.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy Management systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the toolroom.
Candidate Profile
Fully qualified Toolmaker (or equivalent).
3–5+ years' post-qualification experience in an Injection Moulding environment.
Proven problem-solving ability with a referenceable track record.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high specifications.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
