Job Title: Support Worker for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
The role of the staff nurse in this position is to deliver high-quality support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities. This involves working closely with service users, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized plans that promote independence, autonomy, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred support to service users, assisting them in achieving their personal goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each service user.
- Monitor and report any changes or concerns regarding service user health and wellbeing.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) in the Intellectual Disability or Mental Health Division.
- Relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential or day service settings.
