My client is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 IT Support Engineer on a contract basis to assist with escalated technical support and ongoing project work during a busy period. The engineer must be available for an immediate or near-immediate start, ideally with prior MSP experience and confidence working in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, independence, and professionalism in dealing with end users and business clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide remote and on-site support to SME clients in line with SLAs
* Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2/3 technical issues
* Work with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and common networking issues
* Assist with project tasks, migrations, upgrades, and deployments
* Accurately log work in Autotask PSA and communicate updates clearly
* Support or advise junior team members if needed
Essential Skills
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 IT support role
* Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows Server experience
* Confident with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
* Familiarity with firewalls and networking (Sophos, SonicWall, etc.)
* Experience with Autotask, Kaseya, Datto, or similar RMM/PSA tools
* Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and communication skills
* Must be based in Ireland or able to work Irish business hours
Nice to Have
* Previous experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment
* Project experience (e.g., O365 migrations, server upgrades)
* Azure or Microsoft certification
* Full driving licence and own transport (for on-site support)
